There is just something about diVerge that makes a great fit for almost any body type. The deep V, the cables that visually create an hourglass silhouette, and a modified drop shoulder that flatters a lot of women, make this a very appealing knit, whether you are petite, plus size, or somewhere in between. Be sure to check out the images from a try-it-on session held at The Studio.
DiVerge is created in a beautiful yarn from Anzula Luxury Yarns. Their Cricket yarn is a DK Weight Merino, Cashmere, and Nylon blend that is extremely soft and bouncy, which makes the cables really stand out from the reverse Stockinette stitch background. I am absolutely in love with the way their colors are dyed- in a subtle variegation that creates a beautiful finished sweater, with a lot of visual interest. When you pair the amazing color with the softness and luxury of the yarn, this is a hard sweater to resist.
DiVerge is worked from the bottom up in the round, to the neckline shaping. It is then worked flat through the shoulders, which are joined at the shoulders with a three-needle bind off. Sleeves are worked in the round, from the cuff up, and the sewn into place. Finally the neckline is picked up and worked in ribbing for a finished look. The pattern is presented in both written and charted formats, so you can knit diVerge no matter your preference.
Since diVerge is my first self-published sweater pattern, I want to take a moment to assure those who may not be familiar with my designs and patterns that this pattern has been both tech-edited and test knit to ensure that you receive a quality pattern that you can use without trouble. I've also provided images of the pattern details and schematic pages from the pattern to help you get a feel for my style and the pattern on the diVerge pattern page. You can also check out some images and survey results from a Try-It-On event.
If you should run into problems in the knitting process, I am always happy to help. You can contact me at email@example.com with questions or in my Ravelry group.
